Uganda Flag

The Uganda Flag is a national symbol of the country. The flag is made up of 3 colors. It is composed of a total of six horizontal stripes of black, yellow, red, black, yellow, red, black.

The Black Colour symbolizes our African heritage and Uganda’s fertile soil;

Yellow is for the glorious sunny days throughout the year;

Red symbolizes the red blood that runs in our veins;

Within the centre of the flag is a crested crane standing on one leg. The majestic crested crane (Regulorun gibbericeps) is Uganda’s National Bird. It stands on one leg because Uganda is a developing country which is progressing everyday.
